A visa is a document required to enter the Netherlands. Not everyone needs a visa.
Whether you require a visa and, if so, which type depends on your nationality and the aim of your stay in the Netherlands. You can apply for a short-stay visa electronically, but you will also be required to physically visit a location for identification and to take biometric data. A long-stay visa may also be applied for by a sponsor in the Netherlands.
If your application for a visa was rejected, you have only four weeks to appeal. Once this time has elapsed, an appeal is no longer possible. This means you must act quickly.
